Your Opportunity

The Taste of Smithfield restaurant is seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Full-Time Bartender to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will bring a passion for mixology, excellent customer service skills, and a friendly demeanor to create a memorable experience for our patrons. The Full-Time Bartender will be responsible for preparing and serving a diverse range of beverages, maintaining a clean and organized bar area, and engaging with customers to ensure their satisfaction.

Responsibilities

• Creates daily and seasonal Crafted Cocktail Specials.

• Trains staff on proper service as well as daily specials.

• Keeps wine program and menu up to date.

• Manages beer selection on tap.

• Adheres to proper alcohol handling, sanitation, and safety procedures.

• Maintains appropriate dating, labeling, and rotation of all beverage items.

• Merchandises the retail store.

• Assists with social media and website posts and content.

• Sets up and assists with and supervises our private dinner parties.

• Assists servers with customer concerns or questions.

• Manages holiday events and store decor.

Qualifications

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. • High School Diploma or GED required.

• Must be at least 21 years of age.

• Proven experience as a bartender in a fast-paced environment is preferred.

• Knowledge of mixology, including the ability to create classic and innovative cocktails.

• Some culinary training is preferred, but not required.

• Excellent customer service and communication skills.

• Ability to multitask and work efficiently under pressure.

• Knowledge of health and safety regulations related to the service of alcoholic beverages.

• Attention to detail and a commitment to cleanliness and organization.

• Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.

• Food handler's card preferred.
