This role is within the Hanley Energy US Eastern Region providing project support to the Engineering and Management teams. Minimum availability of 25% travel if needed. International opportunities are a possibility within Hanley Energy.Controls EngineerOverviewThe Controls Engineer will be working as part of a fast-growing, dynamic team and will play a critical role representing Hanley Energy in our business model. This person will develop systems, communicate with key stakeholders, and take ownership of key products of the controls branch of Hanley Energy. The control engineer will be a leader to fellow employees and work with management to ensure the successful growth of the controls department and Hanley Energy as a whole.The Controls Engineer will go to customer sites and is a responder for hands-on equipment troubleshooting and operation. They must successfully communicate with the customer and be an expert on the services that they are providing. Our committed team works as a technical resource to support the full physical infrastructure of their customer’s buildings that store mission-critical data and equipment. The Controls Engineer will assist the Engineering and Project Management teams to design, develop, deploy, and manage projects. The role is best described as an expert technician with superb leadership, project and time management skills.Roles/Goals/ResponsibilitiesSystem Installation, Checkout, Integration, Testing, and CommissioningAssist with planning and designing of Critical Infrastructure projectsPerform the programming and deployment of Critical Infrastructure projectsLearn new systems and products as necessaryPreventative Maintenance Visits (PMV) and PMV SupportHanley Energy Ticket SupportProCore Project ManagementDevelop and Deploy BMS ProgramsTridium Training (Niagara N4)Expand and develop system integration experienceProvide feedback to the Engineering team about technical documentation, mechanical/electrical/plumbing diagrams, sequences of operation, and operating procedures.Utilize time management, teamwork, communication skills, organizational and problem-solving skillsTrain other team members as a part of an ongoing team development effortCommunicate and coordinate with customer and other companies/vendors to complete our scope of workBasic Experience QualificationsEducation/Training:4 Year Engineering Degree from an accredited university4 years of experience in a technical field.Technical training from military training, trade school, university, or college and relevant working experience equivalent to a 2-year degree in STEM plus 2 years of relevant working experience2-year degree in STEM plus 2 years of relevant working experiencePrior experience working with:Data Centers or other critical environmentsIndustrial BMS SystemsIndustrial EPMS SystemsElectrical TroubleshootingMechanical, Electrical, Plumbing drawingsMechanical and/or Electrical InstallationAbility to be the primary on call technicianMust be available during non-working hours for a week during on call rotation.Base compensation provided and additional OT when called inPossess basic knowledge of each type of BMS system so that if called in on an emergency they can successfully support the customerAbility to travel up to 25% to support other regions if necessaryPreferred Experience QualificationsExperience in most, not all, of the Basic Experience Qualifications listed abovePrior experience planning, programming, designing, or executing Critical Infrastructure projectsPrior experience with HVAC equipment/controlsPrior experience with BMS Communication protocols #J-18808-Ljbffr HANLEY ENERGY LLC
