CVOR Nurse in The Villages, FL

Schedule:

• 6:00 AM - 4:30 PM

Key Qualifications:

• Current and unrestricted RN license
• Proven experience in a Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) setting
• BLS and ACLS certification required
• Strong knowledge of cardiovascular surgical procedures and sterile technique
• Ability to communicate effectively with surgical team members and patients
• Exceptional attention to detail and critical thinking abilities
• Travel RN experience is preferred, but not required

Primary Responsibilities:

• Circulate and/or scrub for open heart, vascular, and thoracic procedures
• Prepare the CVOR suite and ensure strict adherence to sterile protocols
• Monitor patient status before, during, and after surgery, providing prompt interventions as needed
• Collaborate closely with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and surgical technologists to deliver optimal outcomes
• Maintain accurate documentation for perioperative care and patient assessments
• Provide emotional support and patient education to individuals and family members
