Skilled - Metrology Technician

Position Title: Metrology Technician Salary: $62,400-$72,800/year Shift: Days Hours: 6:00am-4:30pm Monday-Thursday (7am-5:30pm Option) Responsibilities Perform inspections using portable measuring arms, laser trackers, and hand gauges such as micrometers, calipers, and go/no-go gauges Analyze and develop reports using digital metrology software and company templates Work with cross-functional teams to develop inspection and test plans Maintain calibration of gauges and gauge system Maintain a clean and organized workspace Initiate nonconformances and assist with root cause/corrective actions as necessary Perform tasks as assigned by the Supervisor to meet the needs of the group Qualifications At least 3 years of inspection experience using laser trackers, portable measuring arms, laser scanners, or CMM’s At least 3 years of experience using handheld measuring devices such as micrometers, calipers, and go/no-go gauges Experience with digital metrology software for data analysis and reporting Ability to read and interpret complex drawings Thorough understanding of GD&T Proficient at using Microsoft Office products Willingness to learn new things Able to work well with little supervision Ability to communicate criticism in a respectful and considerate manner Ability to advocate quality improvements in a manner that will foster concurrence Ability to be a leader in groups of peers from production to QC Good attendance Must have enough manual dexterity and stability as required for precision work Able to see details at close range Able to lift up to 30 pounds at times Able to traverse facilities and machinery by climbing, balancing, lifting, walking, stooping, and carrying materials PPE is required at all times in the plant and yard We are proud to be an equal opportunity employer. #J-18808-Ljbffr Monroechamber
