Program and Resource Specialist The Program and Resource Specialist screens patients for eligibility for all available programs and episodic coverage, enrolls patients into the appropriate program, and ensures they have the most appropriate financial resources to continue seeking care. The role involves evaluating eligibility for programs such as Medi‑Cal, Covered CA, PFPACT, CHDP, and any other episodic programs available at TrueCare, as well as explaining program details and specifics to each patient as necessary. What We’re Looking For High school graduate or equivalent, with knowledge of medical terminology and data entry training preferred. California driver’s license, clean driving record, and reliable transportation; must be willing to travel between all TrueCare sites. Certified Enrollment Counselor or eligibility for certification within three months of hire. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with people of all ages, social and ethnic backgrounds, including patients, medical staff, co‑workers, and the public. Effective verbal and written communication, interpersonal, organizational, problem‑solving, time management, and multi‑tasking skills. Bilingual in English and Spanish. Key Responsibilities Screen patients for eligibility for all available programs and episodic coverage. Enroll patients into appropriate programs.
