Head of Marketing

Head of Marketing What You’ll Do: Own lead generation and demand generation strategy, partnering directly with the sales/procurement team Identify and pursue new leads in verticals and markets not previously targeted Own brand voice and consistency across all external communications Direct the branding, look, and feel of trade shows and signature events (not day-to-day logistics) Develop and drive differentiation strategy - translating what makes the company unique into market-facing positioning Evolve the brand as the business grows and changes Direct outside agencies/contractors and internal support staff on execution Build budget requests grounded in real business needs rather than general marketing spend Present marketing strategy and results to the Leadership Team Qualifications/Requirements: Proven experience running a marketing function solo or with minimal support (not managing a large team) Comfortable operating as both strategist and hands-on executor Hands-on proficiency with modern marketing technology and AI tools - able to personally use tools to a high level of capability, not just direct others Ability to assess whether outside agencies/partners are overselling or underdelivering, and judgment on when outside help is actually needed Strong eye for aesthetic and experiential detail, particularly for events and trade shows Track record of driving measurable results (leads, demand, revenue impact) rather than vanity marketing metrics 5+ years running a Marketing Department Bachelor’s degree in marketing or similar SLM takes pride in being an equal opportunity employer.
