Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated Stock Person. This class of positions encompasses work of varying degrees of difficulty and responsibility in handling the receipt, storage, care and distribution of materials, supplies, equipment and tools. All personnel perform related work.

Job Description

• Distributes Medical Surgical Supplies and other supplies to Patient Care areas, as assigned
• Performs accurate refills in PAR locations
• Initiates and completes weekly inventory in assigned PAR areas
• Checks for expired items in assigned PAR areas, daily
• On a weekly basis, cleans, dusts, and wipes down, in compliance with infection control standards, in assigned PAR areas, including storage bins.
• Maintains daily PAR level inventory on Bulk Cart
• Ensures neatness of bulk supplies and floor stock items in storage area on patient care unit
• Returns excess supplies located in assigned PAR areas, daily
• Provides accurate recordkeeping on all assigned PAR areas using handheld devices, daily
• Dusts shelves, boxes, cartons, and bins, and sweeps floors in assigned areas to ensure compliance with infection control standards
• Operate equipment, such as the electrical/manual jacks to transport supplies to various destinations, on an as needed basis
• Maintains assigned inventory areas
• After unpacking/restocking supplies, garbage/empty cartons, plastic wrap, etc. moves to central point for Environmental Services pickup, and returns empty skids to 1st floor
• Remains on assigned units during working hours
• During various inventory times throughout the year, staff will be assigned to count
• Delivers other Med/Surg supplies, which may be received via various vendors (e.g., UPS, FedEx), to departments
• Promotes a positive and pleasant attitude conducive to the workplace which enhances the Mission, Vision and Value Statement of Company and Hospital.
• Meets all compliance standards/requirements such as Annual Physical Evaluation and PeopleSoft ELM Trainings
• Enhances personal and professional development through external educational offerings

Skills Required

• Minimum 1 year of relevant experience in stocking, inventory, materials handling, or supply distribution
• MS Outlook
• Experience operating electrical and manual pallet jacks
• Ability to perform inventory counting, stocking, and replenishment
• Ability to handle and transport medical/surgical supplies safely

Education/Training/Certifications

• High School (Diploma/GED) required.

Additional requirements

• Shift: Monday - Friday 9AM to 5PM

  Pay Rate

• $20–$24 per hour, based on experience, skills, and market factors
