Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Telemetry Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team. The RN will provide high-quality care to patients in a telemetry unit, utilizing advanced monitoring and assessment skills.

Scheduled Details

• Shifts: 12-hour weekend nights (Friday to Sunday)
• Hours: 1900 to 0730

Experience Requirements

• Associate's degree in Nursing
• At least 1 year of experience as a Telemetry RN in a hospital setting

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Nursing

Licensure and Certification Requirements

• Registered Nurse (RN) license in Kansas
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification

Floating Requirements

The RN may occasionally float outside of their assigned unit based on divisional needs. Potential floating units include acute care or overflow/surge units housing medical-surgical patients.

Weekend Requirements

The position requires work every weekend, with a set schedule of Friday through Sunday.

Holiday Requirements

Holidays are required based on unit needs. Travelers must work two major holidays, choosing from the following groups: Thanksgiving Eve or Day, Christmas Eve or Day, or New Year's Eve or Day.

Client-Specific Notes

This is a nicotine-free facility. Employees will be compensated bi-weekly and must adhere to the cancellation policy, allowing the client to cancel two shifts per month at no cost to the client or pay to the employee. A minimum of 2 hours' notice is required for cancellations.

Orientation

The RN will attend orientation sessions including a New Employee Orientation (NEO) on the Monday and Tuesday of the starting week, as well as additional training sessions throughout the week.

Credentialing Expectations

Candidates must complete a background check, drug screen, and lab work within 72 hours of offer acceptance. Credentials are due the Monday before the Monday start date.
