Human Resources Coordinator

Position Overview

Our client is seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized HR Coordinator to support the day-to-day administrative and operational functions of their Human Resources department. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on HR support, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and excels at managing multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy and professionalism.

This role requires a strong administrative focus and is best suited for an individual who enjoys HR operations, data management, employee support, and process coordination. This is not an HR Generalist position. The hiring manager is looking for someone who is comfortable handling the daily administrative responsibilities that keep the HR department running smoothly.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate and conduct employee safety orientations
• Manage new hire onboarding, employment paperwork, and employee documentation
• Prepare and maintain workers' compensation reports and records
• Provide recruitment and hiring support, including applicant tracking and interview coordination
• Maintain and update HRIS and employee databases
• Perform extensive data entry, record management, and reporting using Microsoft Excel
• Enter and update applicant and employee information within internal systems
• Pick up and distribute mail between five company locations
• Complete occasional trips to the post office as needed
• Assist with occasional lunch pickups and other office support tasks
• Provide general administrative and operational support to the Human Resources team
• Maintain confidential employee records and ensure accuracy of all HR documentation

Qualifications

• Previous experience in an HR Coordinator, HR Assistant, Administrative Assistant, or related support role
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills and experience with high-volume data entry
• Experience working with HRIS systems preferred
• Excellent organizational and time management skills
• Ability to prioritize competing tasks and follow projects through to completion
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Professional communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation for local travel between company sites
