Pharmacy Clerk

Pharmacy ClerkWe're looking for a Pharmacy Clerk, to complement our pharmacy team at our NY, NY location. The clerk will directly interact with patients and customers, work with the Pharmacist and rest of the Pharmacy team in providing excellent patient care and customer service, playing a vital role in our workflow. The role presents a great opportunity to learn about pharmacy operations and grow with us. The role would be for about 32 - 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday.What You'll (Primarily) Do:Care for customers and patients with both retail and prescription needsHandle transactions at point of saleCall patients and providers regarding prescription needsRecord pertinent information in our Pharmacy Software SystemOrganize, file, and provide a positive and professional workplace presenceAssist with the processing daily workflow and production of pharmacy operations efficientlyAssist with packaging and logistics of prescription medicationsPerforms responsibilities as directed achieving desired results within expected time frames and with a high degree of quality and professionalismProcess all required paperwork according to established proceduresWhat We're Looking For:Meets attendance requirements.Must be 18+ years of ageGood interactive skills with employees, supervisors, and consumersStrong oral communication skillsStrong level of software proficiency.Demonstrates the behavioral and technical competencies necessary to effectively complete job responsibilities.Requires sensitivity to employee's and customer's needs and data.Takes personal initiative for technical and professional development.Takes responsibility for actions.Fluency in Spanish preferredMay require standing or frequent use of computer keyboard & sitting for extended periodsMust possess good attention to detailAhma Rx's Story:Ahma Rx is an Independently owned, community-based, specialty pharmacy on a mission to simplify the prescription journey through elevated patient care.
