Your Role on the Team

Position Summary

As an Admitting Representative responsibilities include interviewing and gathering complete and accurate demographic and insurance information to complete the registration process efficiently and expeditiously. Obtains authorizations and collects appropriate monies on cash accounts or accounts identified with deductible amounts due. Completes the Admitting packets with all appropriate forms for the department. Obtains appropriate signatures on all registration forms, and scans the appropriate forms. Completes insurance verification on accounts via data validation or passport, and breaks down charts for the appropriate departments.

What It Takes to be Successful

Required Qualifications: Previous acute care hospital or related experience Preferred Qualifications: High School diploma or equivalent Knowledge in Medical Terminology Previous Admitting registration or Business Office experience Previous Customer Service experience Computer and typing skills Physical Requirements: Hearing and visual acuity Manual dexterity to perform keyboard functions Able to push wheelchairs Able to lift 25 pounds
