Critical Care Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant: Peoria, Illinois (IL)

Sumo Medical Staffing is recruiting an experienced Nurse Practitioner for Critical Care to work locum shifts in Peoria, IL. Starting 7/20/26- ongoing, with a competitive market rate and benefits.

The NP Critical Care Role:

• Critical care need starts- 7/20/26- ongoing, part-time or full-time coverage needs
• Shifts Coverage- 7p-7a Monday - Sunday, 10-14 shifts per month available
• Critical care role- providing care across Neuro, Cardiac, and Medical ICU step-down units
• Prefer experience with neurocritical care, cardiovascular critical care, VADs, ECMO, and transplant patients preferred
• Required- perform procedures, including central line placement and intubations.Participate in the management of patients requiring ventricular assist devices (VADs), VA ECMO, and heart transplant support
• EMR- EPIC

Requirements of NP Critical Care role:

• IL state license; active, unrestricted
• Active Board certification
• Certifications- ACLS and BLS
• 1 year of critical care experience
