Support the departmental goals of efficiency, high yields, quality production and equipment operationMajor Duties and Responsibilities:Directly manage operational employees through functional leads establishing daily objectivesResponsibility for frontline employees including hiring, reviews, rewards and discipline Manage daily processes, including but not limited to:Establish Operational procedures (SOPs)Establish workload requirements, work schedules and plain task level assignmentsEstablish training needs and certification requirementsEnsure safe operationMaintain composure in stressful situations, making sound decisions and communicating with management team as neededMotivate employees to higher achievements Treat all employees fairly and with consistencySupport the development of a process improvement programManage to KPI standards established by operations managerRecognize trends/indicators and reacts proactively to address potential problemsEnsure employees maintain industry guidelines for GMPProficiency in English required with Spanish language skills preferredComputer proficient Food Safety Requirements/Responsibilities:Comply with all Plant, State, and Federal OSHA, EPA, FDA, HACCP, and SQF regulationsComply with GMP's in the plantAssist in the maintenance of Food Safety and Quality systemOrganizational Relationships:Position reports to the Plant Manager. Direct reports for this position include: Frontline departmental employees Qualifications:Minimum A.A. with B.S or B.A. preferred5 years of supervisory experienceExperience working in food manufacturing company, preferably dairy operations or relatedProven background with safety programs and GMPWillingness to work non-traditional hours is requiredFood, CPG or USDA/ FDA environments Physical Demands: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by the employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
