Transportation Procurement Buyer

Under the guidance of the Director Global Transportation Procurement, the Transportation Procurement Buyer will support category strategies and conduct price negotiations as requested with suppliers using Requests for Proposals (RFPs) and other tools for our Supply Chain Logistics spend. You will help review the current supply base and help develop new supply sources where current vendors are not meeting expectations. The Buyer will work with the Director of Global Transportation Procurement and internal clients to make recommendations on rationalizing the supply base while maintaining leverage. You will monitor all important indicators related to assigned categories, reviewing spend and industry trends frequently to ensure appropriate strategies are in place.

You will be hybrid remote (4-6xs a month in West Chester, PA).

Your Impact

• Manage the procurement lifecycle through eProcurement tool ensuring competitive pricing, compliance with policies, limiting risk, and driving Total Procurement Value
• Partner with QVC Internal clients to help lifecycle contracts with external suppliers, ensuring all contracted obligations are met within acceptable quality standards
• Participate in category spend meetings and help evaluate Request for Proposal strategies
• Analyze current suppliers and develop new suppliers based on quality, service, reliability, price, innovation, and value added capabilities, as well as the supplier's reputation and history
• Develop relationships with important partners across QVC with the support of the Procurement Leadership Team

What You Bring

• 2+ years experience supporting a Manufacturing, Supply Chain or Operations team.
• 2+ years of work experience or comparable education in procurement/strategic sourcing.
• 2+ years buying experience with focus on relevant categories (Transportation/Freight and Logistics), and other categories as assigned.
• 2+ years experience working with eProcurement systems and advanced reporting tools.
• 2+ years experienced conducting price negotiations with suppliers, using Requests for Proposals (RFPs).
• 2+ years experience creating RFPs
• Should have strong analytical skills, including the ability to analyze data, identify trends, and solve complex problems
• Knowledge of contracts across Operations/Supply Chain categories
