Purchasing Agent (Construction/Mechanical) Location: Phoenix, AZ Schedule: Monday–Friday | 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM About IMCOR Interstate Mechanical Corp. We’re looking for a detail-driven, proactive Purchasing Agent who thrives in a fast-paced construction environment and takes ownership of keeping projects moving. Position Overview The Purchasing Agent plays a critical role in ensuring materials, equipment, and supplies are sourced, purchased, and delivered on time to support field operations. This role directly impacts project success by maintaining strong vendor relationships, controlling costs, and ensuring seamless material flow. Key Responsibilities Procure materials for construction projects including plumbing, piping, sheet metal, steel, tools, and consumables Coordinate with vendors to kit and deliver materials based on project schedules Expedite orders to meet tight deadlines and avoid job delays Track orders, deliveries, and inventory to ensure accuracy and accountability Compare pricing, negotiate with vendors, and identify cost-saving opportunities Source and onboard new vendors to support operational needs Process equipment repair requests and coordinate with vendors/service providers Maintain accurate data entry and documentation within purchasing systems What You Bring Strong attention to detail and organization skills Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment Experience with purchasing, procurement, or supply chain (construction industry preferred) Proficiency in data entry and tracking systems ERP/MRP system experience (preferred) Strong communication and vendor management skills Why IMCOR Competitive pay Medical, dental, and vision insurance Life, short-term, and long-term disability coverage 401(k) with company match Opportunity to grow within a stable, respected company Team-oriented culture focused on excellence and accountability Join Our Team If you’re someone who takes pride in staying organized, solving problems, and supporting successful projects from behind the scenes—we want to hear from you.
