A Sales Associate is responsible for the end-to-end sales process as guided by the Sales Representative(s) s/he supports. This includes order integrity/management, pricing, vendor communication, clearing of shipments (freight questions), and assisting in claim initiation and resolution.

Roles and Responsibilities: 

• Serve as a communication hub between Sale, customer/vendor and support teams
• Stay knowledgeable on our portfolio of products
  • Recommend products and programs to our customer base that would help them enrich their offering
• Maintain and build relationships with Sales organization and customers.
• Provide front line support to internal and external customers
• Drive order integrity of customer accounts throughout the entire business year. This involves, but is not limited to, order management, shipping, subs and cuts, pricing and claims and returns
• Manage orders from start to finish including sourcing product, order entry, verifying acknowledgements, vendor confirmation, editing orders, status checks, and order changes
• Process orders and confirmations to assist the sales reps and customer service team
• Respond to customer inquiries regarding their shipments or invoices for their products
• Responsible for preparing and maintaining database of customer contacts
• Participate in special projects and assignments as requested

Desired Background/Attributes:

• A degree in Horticulture, Botany, or related field or an equivalent number of years of experience in the Horticulture/Floraculture industry.
• Customer centric approach
• Clear and concise written and verbal communication skills

• Thirst for industry knowledge and seeing a challenge through to resolution
