RN - PACU

Job Opportunity

The position involves working in various areas, with start times beginning as early as 06:00 and staggered until 08:30. Flexibility in scheduling is essential. Nurses assigned to the Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) are required to complete their shifts. Outpatient surgery does not have shift relief.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of experience required.
• California state license required; pending licenses accepted.
• Previous charge experience preferred.
• Certifications: ACLS, BLS, CCRN*, PALS, CPAN*

Skills

• Experience with abdominal aortic aneurysm repair.
• Proficiency in arterial line management.
• Care for ventilated patients.
• Familiarity with various surgical procedures including endoscopic, general, gynecological, orthopedic, and neuro surgeries.
• ICU and trauma care experience preferred.

Unit Details

• Type of Facility: Acute Care Facility
• Patient Age Groups: Adolescents, Adults, Pediatrics, Geriatrics
• Daily Census: 25 - 30 patients
• Number of Beds: 9
• Patient Diagnoses: Surgical and procedural cases across various specialties including trauma, orthopedics, spine, neurology, and cardiology.

Additional Information

• Travel may be required between nearby facilities.
• Availability to work 3 of the 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day) is mandatory.
