Front Desk Support
Candlelighters Childhood Cancer Foundation of Nevada
Volunteers supporting the Front Desk will be the first friendly face that Candlelighters families will see when they walk through the door, and the friendly voice they will hear when they call on the phone. The main hours for this shift will be 2pm-5pm on weekdays, Monday and Friday mornings are available as well.
Essential Functions:
Greet families and guests in a friendly and helpful manner when they enter the building.
Answer phones, answer questions, direct, and screen calls appropriately.
Order cab rides for families traveling to doctor appointments.
Create a hospitable environment when families are waiting for appointments.
Facilitate Birthday Club for kiddos that are coming in for their birthday.
Accept packages.

Compassionate towards families with children diagnosed with cancer.
Supervisory Responsibility:
Overseeing the area at the lobby and directing guests appropriately.
Work Environment:
On a daily basis, the office is a very relaxed place, when certain events are happening, the office does become a fast paced and busy environment.
We are the type of team that likes to lend a hand to each other when possible.
Physical Demands:
Sitting for long periods of time
Walking short distances.
Lifting ability of 25lbs.
Possibility of occasionally walking up or down one flight of stairs.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:
Part Time
Hours available are:
Mondays and Fridays from 10am-1pm and 2pm-5pm
Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursdays from 2pm-5pm
Volunteers must commit to a weekly schedule of their choice from the available shifts.
Travel:
Ability to travel to the office.
Preferred Education and Experience:
No Education or experience necessary
Other Duties:
Occasional basic data entry
Occasional at-desk crafting
