Position Description Pay Rate: $21.00/hour$21/HR Responsibilities Assist in administrative tasks such as handling and preparation of paperwork and may assist in the daily closing of the warehouse. Assist in verifying all incoming and outgoing products for accuracy in amount, size and type, informing management of inventory shortages and assisting in periodic inventory counts. Compile and submit regular reports of damaged, outdated stock or supplies, over- and under-shipments, returns to vendor and segregate defective product from normal inventory; prioritize and pick material to fill orders and stage product for loading. Designate and organize warehouse stock by product line and physical alignment, allowing sufficient space for overflow. Load and unload delivery trucks; lift products up to approximately 50 pounds and handle tires greater than 50 pounds by rolling, destacking or team lifting. Operate powered industrial vehicles such as forklifts, pallet jacks and order pickers safely and maintain an operator license if required. Perform periodic facilities maintenance and custodial tasks, such as cleaning the parking lot, loading dock, surrounding area, keeping floors clear of debris, maintaining bathrooms and assisting in daily closing of the warehouse. Prioritize and pick materials for order fulfillment, staging them for loading. Competencies Collaboration - building partnerships and working collaboratively with others to meet shared objectives. Qualifications High School or GED degree; 1-2 years of related experience preferred. The employee must occasionally lift products weighing up to approximately 50 pounds. Handling of tires greater than 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus. Work Environment: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is exposed to weather conditions prevalent at the time. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
