This 6-month contract role is ideal for a hands-on maintenance professional with experience in basic electrical, plumbing, and general building maintenance who enjoys working in an industrial environment. The Maintenance Technician will perform preventive maintenance, respond to work orders, assist vendors, and help ensure facility systems operate safely and efficiently.Schedule is Monday-Friday, 7:30am-4:00pm with one week of on-call rotation per month. - Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on building systems and facility equipment.
- Complete work orders involving light electrical, plumbing, and general maintenance tasks.
- Assist HVAC vendors with maintenance and repair activities.
- Inspect equipment and building systems to identify maintenance needs.
- Use hand tools, lifts, and maintenance equipment to complete assigned work.
- Support energy management initiatives by maintaining efficient building operations.
- Ensure all work is completed in compliance with safety standards and building regulations.
- Partner with vendors and internal teams to complete maintenance projects.
- Maintain accurate work order documentation and communicate maintenance updates.
- Work independently while collaborating with facility personnel as needed.
- 2-3 years of maintenance, facilities, or building operations experience.
- Experience with light electrical, plumbing, and general building maintenance.
- Basic math and written communication skills.
- Comfortable using hand tools and performing physical maintenance work.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Experience in a manufacturing or industrial facility.
- Lockout/Tagout experience.
- Fire and life safety knowledge.
- Comfortable working at heights.
- Experience with Google Workspace.
- Any maintenance or trade-related certifications.
