Job Title: Working General Manager (HVAC)
Location: Winston-Salem, NC
Compensation: $56,000 to $95,000 Base Salary ($120,000 to $180,000 Total Target Compensation with Uncapped Profit Sharing)
About Our Company We are a premier, well-capitalized home services company launching a brand-new HVAC operation in Winston-Salem, NC. Backed by an experienced business leader, we are building a modern, culture-first company that values integrity, customer service, and modern technology. We are looking for a Working General Manager to lead our field operations, run our initial service truck, and grow the business from the ground up.
What You Will Do
- Run day-to-day field operations, performing diagnostic service calls, maintenance, and equipment installations.
- Act as our lead field presence while building customer trust and generating initial revenue.
- Recruit, onboard, and mentor incoming technicians as the business expands.
- Manage operational KPIs, job margins, and field efficiency.
- Utilize modern software tools and AI platforms to optimize scheduling and customer communication.
- Transition out of the truck and into full-time management as technician headcount grows.
What We Are Looking For
- Minimum 5 years of hands-on residential HVAC service and installation experience.
- Strong leadership abilities with a solid understanding of business metrics.
- High integrity, strong work ethic, and excellent customer communication skills.
- Willingness to perform physical field work during the initial launch phase.
- Valid driver's license and ability to pass a background check.
- Note: A state HVAC license is not required for this role.
