Job Summary And Qualifications Below is a summary of your key responsibilities and qualifications: Responsibilities Prepares patients and collects relevant information for completion of procedures. Performs all sonographic exams following defined protocols. Observes patients’ conditions and notifies physician or supervisor of unusual occurrences. Compiles appropriate records to expedite results. Analyzes the quality of images and processes as required. Understands and operates electronic information systems. Maintains appropriate supplies and a clean, organized working environment. Participates in continuing education activities to expand/enhance knowledge of sonography and meet educational requirements of ARDMS. Takes call after regular hours. Registered or registry‑eligible by RDMS or ARRT. Qualifications Experience: Preferred: 2‑3 years experience as a RT or sonographer. Preferred: 2 or more years of experience in a hospital ultrasound department. Education: Required: ARDMS eligible. Preferred: BLS certification. Required: ARDMS certification.
