This facility is licensed for 815 beds and has received multiple accolades for clinical quality and patient safety. It is a referral center for trauma, stroke care, and neonatal intensive care. The surgical department is a leader in robotic surgery and offers specialized services including open heart and interventional cardiology. The unit focuses on cardiovascular and vascular surgery, managing patients recovering from various surgical procedures. This includes open heart surgeries and major vascular operations. Additionally, the unit cares for overflow medical cardiology patients with conditions such as heart failure and sepsis. The unit consists of 40 stepdown beds and has a dedicated staff of approximately 100 members. The typical patient-to-nurse ratio is 1:5, and for PCTs, it is 1:13. Key equipment includes IV pumps, epidural pumps, and various lifting devices, and the unit utilizes an electronic medical record system. Candidates should have experience in stepdown and telemetry nursing. Experience with cardiovascular surgery and vascular surgery patients is preferred. The ideal candidate is a team player, enjoys fast-paced environments, and is flexible with scheduling. There are weekend shift requirements, with a minimum of 6 weekend shifts in a 6-week period. Call is not required for this position. This role is essential for maintaining high standards of nursing excellence.
