Valle Vista Health System is a 132-bed, acute care psychiatric hospital located in Greenwood, IN. Valle Vista Health System features individual units for adolescents and adults, and offers inpatient acute care, and a variety of outpatient services at multiple locations. On average, over 10,000 patients receive care from our compassionate health care team each year at Valle Vista Health System. Position Summary: The Skills Specialist is responsible for planning and implementing activity services for assigned program, which involves defining and implementing treatment goals as a member of the interdisciplinary treatment team and providing continuous patient care, observation, interaction, and role modeling to patients. The Skills Specialist provides psychoeducational and activity groups to assigned patients.

Qualifications

Licensure and Certification: Successful completion of CPR Certification and successful completion of Handle with Care de-escalation training. Certification and training may be obtained during new hire orientation. Valid Indiana Driver's License

Experience: One (1) years of related experience, with knowledge of psychiatric patient care techniques with understanding of mental illness, preferred. Demonstrated proficiency utilizing office systems such as Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
