Jr. Accountant

Responsibilities Daily and timely invoicing to customers using EDI and paper copies. Process and record accounts payable transactions and facilitate weekly payment runs. Daily - Enter and review bills/invoices and credit card transactions within the bill pay system. Match invoices with purchase orders and verify quantities and rates are reflected accurately across all systems. Process and record accounts receivable transactions. Daily - Record payments and deductions from customers. Daily posting of bank transactions. Maintain and update accurate vendor and customer information within ERP. Effectively communicate with other members of the finance team to clarify issues related to daily accounting activities. This includes fielding inquiries on payment status, internally and externally. Handle month-end/year-end close activities (account reconciliations, recurring journal entries, 1099s, audits, reviews, etc.) Monthly bank and balance sheet reconciliations. Support members of both finance and other departments with ad hoc requests and projects. Other projects and assignments as they come up. Requirements 1-3 years of accounting experience (CPG industry preferred). Strong accounting/accrual and analytical skillset. ERP knowledge – NetSuite experience is a MUST! EDI experience is required (SPS Commerce is preferred). Strong Excel skills are required. Understand all aspects of the Order to Cash process. AR review/reconciliation/collections. AP process – Ramp accounting software experience is a plus. Excellent communication skills and ability to effectively work across departments. Willingness to improve and automate processes. Ability to handle multiple tasks and to reprioritize as necessary in a fast-paced environment. Adherence to deadlines.
