divh2Cement Terminal Operator/h2pThe Terminal Operator participates in the unloading of cement from trucks and rail cars at the terminal. This position requires hands-on operation of terminal equipment, developing a familiarity with bulk truck and bulk rail car operations. The Cement Terminal Operator must perform all duties in a safety-conscious manner and in compliance with all applicable environmental laws and policies./ppResponsibilities:/pulliOperate moving equipment to spot and unload cement and/or fly ash railcars/liliLoad and unload bulk tanker trucks and railcars using an automated loading system; operate a computer billing system/liliPerform tasks ensuring efficient operation of the cement terminal/liliMaintain all mobile equipment in proper operating condition, including checks on tire inflation, brakes, waters, and oil pressure/liliAssist other Terminal Operators in repairs, installations, maintenance, and operations of all terminal equipment/liliOperate weigh devices as Weigh Master/liliOperate mobile equipment: forklift, manlift, railcar mover/liliMonitor product movement to and from storage tanks, coordinating activities with other workers to ensure constant product flow/liliRecord operating data such as products and quantities pumped, gauge readings and operating times/liliKeep cement plant facilities clean and orderly/li/ulpEducation:/ppHigh school diploma/GED/ppRequirements/Qualifications:/pulliMust have and maintain a valid drivers license/liliPhysical requirements: able to work in confined spaces, climb up to elevations of 10 to 100 ft., occasionally lift weights of up to 100 lbs./liliExperience using air, electrical, and hand tools such as chipping guns, jackhammers, wrenches, grinders, and drills of all/liliAbility to work both independently and as part of a team/liliExperience with Microsoft Office Suite/liliAbility to see and hear safety indicators and warnings/liliMust work in all weather conditions: heat, cold, wet, dry and/or dusty conditions/liliWill have exposure to all levels of noise that require the use of hearing protection/liliAble to work varying and flexible workdays and hours/liliBasic welding and cutting skills a plus/liliIndustry experience preferred/li/ulpConditions of Employment:/ppSuccessful candidate must submit to post-offer pre-employment physical examination, drug/alcohol screen, and background check.
