We are seeking a driven Outside Sales Representative to grow our customer base and develop strong, long-term relationships throughout an assigned territory. Based in Long Island City, NY , this full-time role is ideal for a motivated sales professional who enjoys working in the field, building relationships, winning new business, and identifying opportunities to grow existing accounts.

This is a commission-driven sales opportunity for someone who is competitive, self-motivated, and comfortable taking ownership of their territory and results. Experience or knowledge of construction, building materials, lumber, or a related industry is highly preferred.

Job Responsibilities

• Prospect and develop new business through customer visits, cold calling, lead follow-up, and appointment setting. 
• Build, maintain, and grow relationships with existing customers. 
• Identify customer needs and recommend appropriate products and solutions. 
• Analyze customer buying patterns to uncover new sales and account growth opportunities. 
• Provide knowledgeable, responsive customer service throughout the sales process. 
• Follow up with prospects and customers to drive sales and strengthen long-term relationships.

• Construction, building materials, lumber, or related industry knowledge is highly preferred. Candidates familiar with construction products, terminology, contractors, and jobsite needs are strongly encouraged to apply.
• 1+ years of experience in outside sales, B2B sales, account management, or building materials/distribution preferred.
• Proven ability to build and maintain strong customer relationships while delivering excellent service.
• Self-motivated and results-driven, with the desire to grow accounts, win new business, and succeed in a commission-based sales environment .
• Comfortable prospecting through cold calling, lead follow-up, networking, and appointment setting.
• Strong communication, negotiation, and follow-up skills with the ability to understand customer needs and recommend the right solutions.
• Ability to identify new sales opportunities by reviewing customer activity, buying patterns, and sales performance.
• Confident presenting products and educating customers and their teams on available product lines and services.
• Organized and able to manage multiple accounts, opportunities, and follow-ups independently.
• High school diploma or equivalent required; college degree is a plus.

Experience:
