Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced CNC Setup Technician for a temp-to-hire opportunity in Greenville, SC, supporting a manufacturing environment within the automotive and parts manufacturing industry. This role is ideal for a skilled CNC professional who takes pride in accurate setups, quality parts, and keeping production running efficiently.

The CNC Setup Technician will complete CNC mill and Y-axis lathe setups, verify first-piece quality, troubleshoot tooling issues, and support operators before production begins. This opportunity offers a team-oriented shop environment where technical skill, independence, ownership, and clear communication are valued. Candidates who enjoy hands-on machining work, problem-solving, and contributing to consistent production success will be a strong fit.

Key Responsibilities

- Perform complete CNC mill and Y-axis lathe setups to prepare machines for production.
- Troubleshoot machining, tooling, and setup-related issues to support quality and uptime.
- Complete first-piece and in-process inspections using precision measuring tools.
- Communicate basic operating instructions to production operators before releasing machines for runs.
- Maintain organized tooling, setup information, and related documentation.
- Operate CNC and conventional production equipment when setup work is not required.

Compensation and Benefits

- Job type: Temp-to-Hire.
- Pay range: $29.00 to $32.00 per year.
- Location: Greenville, SC.
