Description of Work

The Learning Management System (LMS) Administrator / Training Developer serves as the primary administrator for Learning Management System (LMS) operations within the organization. This position oversees daily LMS Administration, assists employees with training access and technical issues, and supports the research, design, development, and facilitation of learning programs across multiple formats.

This role also provides cross‑system support for performance management processes and assists with technical platforms such as ServiceNow, Smartsheet, and SharePoint. In addition, the position collaborates with internal partners, contributes to system enhancements, and supports organizational development initiatives through high‑quality training solutions and continuous improvement efforts.

Key Responsibilities Include:
– Design and develop training programs, plans, and materials that align with organizational and program needs.

– Deliver classroom and/or clinical instruction for assigned programs and adapt instructional methods based on audience and learning objectives.

– Evaluate training effectiveness and revise programs, materials, or approaches to improve outcomes and maintain relevance.

– Identify training and development objectives in collaboration with program leadership to support organizational goals.

– Provide consultative guidance and organizational development support within division, department, hospital, facility, or system‑wide training structures.

– Implement and maintain external training programs for users of statewide systems and support training delivery across multiple organizational settings.

– Administer, support, or oversee statewide learning management systems to ensure accessibility, functionality, and user compliance.

– Lead committees, participate in executive leadership activities, or contribute to strategic planning processes within smaller agencies or facilities.

– Supervise or provide direction to Staff Development Specialist I positions and administrative staff involved in training operations.

Knowledge Skills and Abilities/Management Preferences

Salary Grade Range: $55,221 - $96,639

• Expert proficiency conducting formal and informal training programs using structured techniques and instructional methods.

• Demonstrated experience applying human behavior theories and principles to training design, delivery, and learner engagement.

• Strong track record formulating ideas and communicating complex information clearly and effectively to diverse audiences across varied settings.

• Proven success interpreting federal and state guidelines and administering them accurately within program operations.

• Demonstrated skill planning, organizing, and evaluating training events, including assessing needs, executing sessions, and adapting instructional strategies to meet organizational goals.
