Norris Cylinder Company (a division of TriMas Corporation) is seeking individuals for our position of General Production Worker for its Longview, Texas manufacturing plant. Norris Cylinder manufactures quality high-pressure steel and acetylene cylinders and is the only steel cylinder manufacturer in North America. Norris Cylinder operates with a promote from within policy for individuals that wish to grow with us. This is a direct hire position. In this role you will:

1. Perform assignments in accordance with established safety policies and procedures.
2. Adhere to the Quality Policy, including all items assigned to this position in accordance with ISO policies, procedures, and work instructions.
3. Comply with the work rules and standards set forth in the Employee Handbook.
4. Maintain good housekeeping and clean work areas in assigned work sites.
5. Display appropriate work ethics in the workplace and group settings which provides a positive work environment with co-workers.
6. Refer to work order or procedural instructions appropriate for each job, function or assignment before commencing work.
7. Perform any specified quality assurance checks designated for each job, function or assignment.
8. Assure that all work assigned to position is performed in accordance with specifications, instructions and requirements.
9. Demonstrate ability to meet production standards on specific assignments within a reasonable time, depending on the degree of difficulty of their job functions.

Experience, Competencies and Education: Must possess an education or experience level that permits the employee to effectively communicate and perform duties, assignments and responsibilities of the job.

Language Skills: Ability to read, analyze and interpret the documents relating to the job, function or assignment.

Mathematical Skills: Ability to perform basic mathematical equations.

Reasoning Ability: Ability to make decisions when identifying in-process problems. Ability to deal with a variety of job assignments.
