Surgical Registered Nurse (RN) - Operating Room

Assignment Duration: This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule: 8-hour shifts, Monday to Friday, from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, with weekday and weekend call rotation and holiday call rotation as needed.

Job Description: The Surgical Registered Nurse will provide comprehensive nursing care in the operating room environment. This role requires effective leadership and teamwork in a fast-paced setting, handling a variety of cases including general surgery, orthopedics, and trauma.

Responsibilities:

• Assist in surgical procedures by providing care to patients pre, intra, and post-operatively.
• Maintain a sterile environment and ensure proper aseptic techniques are followed.
• Collaborate with surgical teams and communicate effectively regarding patient care.
• Be proactive in patient safety and quality improvement initiatives.
• Participate in call rotation and be available to respond to call-backs as needed.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:

• 2-3 years of experience in the surgical specialty is required.
• 2-3 previous travel assignments preferred.
• Must have strong orthopedic experience.
• Valid RN license and certifications: BLS, ACLS required; PALS preferred.
• Experience with EPIC and robotics preferred.
