Our focus spans proprietary technology, consulting, and energy transition to complete delivery of major capital projects and programs.KBR islooking for a Sr. Specialist, Quality Assurance or Lead Specialist, Quality Assurance to support the project 's quality management program and assure implementation of the program, to meet the requirements of the project contract. This role will report to the Director of Quality Assurance.Functional job responsibilities will include but are not limited to:Overall development, implementation, execution, and continuous improvement of the Quality Management function within KBR ProjectsProvide overall project-wide oversight on quality and requirements compliance matters on both QA/QC functionsWork closely with the managers on quality matters and recommend actions to correct non-conformances preventive measures to reduce recurrence of non-conformances, and continuous process improvement actionsEnsures specific work instructions are developed, implemented, controlled, and analyzed for continuous improvementReport on performance against both internal and client quality through QA/QC inspection resultsPromote awareness of contractual requirements throughout the projectEstablish metrics to identify trends for inspections, non-conformances root causes and corrective/preventive actions at minimumServe as liaison with external parties on matters related to quality, process variation, rigorous process discipline, prevention activities and process improvements, including coordination of corrective actionsReview the Quality Management Plan, as required, to assess its effectiveness and accuracy and recommend changes or improvements; examine optimum efficiency and evaluate compliance with KBR Project’s contractual requirementsRequired Education, Experience, & Skills:Bachelor’s degree in civil, industrial, electrical, or mechanical engineering or other related engineering and scientific fields, based on a four-year course of study from a U.S. or U.K. accredited college or university or equivalent institution5 + years of experience as a Project Quality Manager for FEED, Detail Engineering, projects.Proven ability as a self-motivated and versatile manager with strong leadership characteristics and strong communication skillsMust be able to organize, prioritize and follow-through to complete multiple tasks, under strict deadlines and changing prioritiesHighly proficient administrative, organizational, and computer skills to include Microsoft Office suite: MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and OutlookCertifications or Trainings:Professional certification as Certified Manager of Quality/Organizational Excellence (CMQ/OE) from the American Society for Quality (ASQ) is highly desiredLead Auditor Certification in ISO 9001:2008/2015Placement within the position's career framework will be determined based on an evaluation of the selected candidate's education, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, and other job-related factors consistent with applicable law and business needs.
