Occupational Therapist | Hospital & Outpatient Rehab

Full-Time | Occupational Therapy

A community-based healthcare organization in Southern Arizona is seeking a full-time Occupational Therapist to join its rehabilitation team. This position offers a varied clinical caseload with the opportunity to provide Occupational Therapy services across inpatient, outpatient, and home-based care settings.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients and determine Occupational Therapy needs
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans
• Provide therapeutic interventions designed to improve function and independence
• Monitor patient progress and modify treatment plans as appropriate
• Educate patients and caregivers regarding treatment strategies and home programs
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
• Communicate effectively with physicians, rehabilitation staff, patients, and families
• Provide services across multiple rehabilitation settings based on patient needs

Minimum Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy program
• Current Arizona Occupational Therapist license or willing to obtain
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Basic computer/documentation skills
• Knowledge of body mechanics and safe patient-handling techniques
• Current CPR certification is preferred.

Schedule

• Full-time

Practice Setting

This role provides the opportunity to work with a diverse patient population across acute inpatient, outpatient rehabilitation, and home-based care rather than being limited to a single therapy setting.

Location

The opportunity is located in Southern Arizona near Sierra Vista, with access to outdoor recreation and smaller-community living while remaining within reach of a larger regional community.
