We are currently seeking a Fabrication Assembly Helper  to add to our growing team. 

Location: 35 Southbelt Industrial Drive, Houston, TX 77047

Position Summary & Objective

The Fabrication Assembly Helper supports the production team in the fabrication and assembly of custom HVAC equipment. This role assists with material handling, part preparation, and basic fabrication tasks while ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and to quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with the fabrication and assembly of custom HVAC components and sheet metal products.
• Support layout activities by measuring, marking, and holding materials as directed.
• Load, unload, and transport raw materials, work-in-process, and finished parts using appropriate equipment.
• Prepare materials and workpieces for fabrication processes, including cutting, forming, welding, and finishing.
• Clean and prep metal surfaces using hand tools, abrasives, or cleaning solutions to ensure proper fabrication and finishing.
• Assist operators and fabricators with positioning and removing parts from machines.
• Safely rig and move materials using cranes, hoists, or jib equipment as required.
• Apply coatings or paint to components as needed.
• Maintain work areas by removing scrap and keeping spaces clean and organized.
• Follow all safety guidelines, including proper use of PPE and equipment.
• Perform additional helper-level duties as assigned to support production needs.

Qualifications & Skills

• Basic knowledge of fabrication or manufacturing environments preferred.
• Ability to read a tape measure accurately.
• Familiarity with hand tools such as drills, grinders, and rivet guns.
• Ability to follow instructions and work effectively as part of a team.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality work.
• Willingness to learn and grow within a fabrication or HVAC manufacturing environment.
• Prior experience in sheet metal or fabrication (1–2 years preferred but not required depending on level).

Physical Requirements & Work Environment

• Ability to stand, walk, and perform repetitive tasks for extended periods.
• Regular lifting, carrying, and moving materials weighing 10–50 pounds.
• Work is performed in a manufacturing shop environment with exposure to noise, machinery, and metal materials.
• Must be able to work safely in a fast-paced production setting.
