Senior Cloud Platform Engineer

Overview The Senior Cloud Platform Engineer will work in an Agile IT environment to design, deploy, and maintain cloud-based solutions in a government-provided hybrid cloud environment. You will ensure reliability, availability, and performance of cloud services and infrastructure for clients and the organization. Responsibilities Drive technical design through collaboration with leads and product owners to understand solution requirements and identify architectural patterns Help other development and engineering teams resolve platform integration issues for PaaS and IaaS services Apply knowledge of ML, data analysis, data visualization, and event‑driven architectures Collaborate with end‑users to optimize integration and user experience Develop cloud reference architectures that support customer requirements Develop and articulate cloud technology roadmaps that drive strategic initiatives Ensure cloud roadmaps align with business goals and support long‑term growth and scalability Support the deployment and operation of cloud‑based applications Identify and resolve cloud‑related issues and improve overall system performance Provide training and guidance to junior team members and customers on cloud technologies and best practices Qualifications Minimum 10 years of professional experience working with databases, compute, storage, and networks in Azure Bonus Experience Ability to work with multiple stakeholders and under tight deadlines Ability to articulate options and evaluate pros and cons of alternatives Experience in the defense IT contracting industry Experience with code assistant and AI technologies to increase development speed and quality Experience with containers and serverless technologies (e.g., AWS Lambda, Google Cloud Functions, Azure Functions) Exposure to DevOps methodologies using orchestration tools (e.g., Chef, Ansible) Security Clearance Must have an active Secret clearance or higher Compensation Based on labor costs, the base pay range for this position in the following states and the city of Cleveland is $108,400 – $203,400 USD.
