Marketing Specialist

Kimball Health Services

Job Description

Job Description

Description:

We are seeking a creative and community-focused Marketing Specialist to support the promotion of our rural hospital’s services, programs, and outreach efforts. This role is essential in helping connect our hospital with the community we serve—sharing our story, promoting health initiatives, and strengthening relationships with patients, employees, and local partners.

This position is ideal for someone who is dynamic and results-driven, is passionate about storytelling and design, and values making a meaningful impact in a close-knit, rural community.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the planning and execution of marketing campaigns promoting hospital services, providers, recruitment initiatives, and community health programs
  • Develop and distribute engaging content across digital and print platforms, including social media, flyers, advertisements, newsletters, presentations, and other marketing materials
  • Assist with the creation and management of signage displays, ensuring high-quality, visually consistent promotional materials throughout the hospital and community locations
  • Coordinate advertising efforts across multiple channels, including digital, print, radio, and television
  • Support video production efforts, including planning, coordinating, and assisting with filming and editing promotional and informational content
  • Assist with social media strategy by planning, scheduling, publishing posts, and tracking basic performance metrics
  • Coordinate and participate in community outreach activities such as health fairs, school events, hospital-sponsored programs, and local partnerships
  • Maintain and manage marketing calendars to ensure campaigns are executed in a timely and organized manner
  • Ensure all marketing materials align with established hospital branding guidelines and maintain consistent messaging
  • Assist with website updates and collaborate with external vendors as needed to support marketing and communication efforts
  • Provide administrative and project support for marketing initiatives, employee engagement programs, and internal/external communications
Requirements:

  • Experience in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, or related field
  • Strong writing, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to connect authentically with a rural audience
  • Experience with social media platforms and basic analytics tools
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with design tools (e.g., Canva, Adobe Creative Suite) preferred
  • Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple projects and adapt to changing priorities
  • Self-starter who is comfortable working independently in a small team environment
  • Interest in community health and rural healthcare is strongly preferred

Why Join Us?

  • Make a direct impact on the health and well-being of your local community
  • Work in a supportive, mission-driven environment where your ideas matter
  • Opportunity to build strong relationships across the hospital and within the community
  • Varied, hands-on role with creative freedom and growth potential
