Automation Technician

Position Summary Automation Technician Location Hampton, NH Responsibilities The Automation Technician is responsible for sustaining the operation of automated assembly machines in a safe and efficient manner. In addition to maintaining the automated assembly machines, this role also includes visual inspection, rework, and packing of finished product, as well as providing overall support functions applicable to production. This is an entry level position for an individual with a technical/mechanical background from school or on the job experience. We will train the right candidate to enhance their skills and experience. Upholding company quality standards across all areas of work Inspecting, measuring and preparing raw materials Inspecting and testing completed part assemblies Reworking/fixing completed part assemblies by hand Basic automation machine operation, including loading parts, running programs, basic machine preventative maintenance, and minor troubleshooting Completing daily paperwork and production tracking forms Maintain a clean work environment, including routine cleaning and housekeeping Completing other tasks as assigned by supervisor Position Type This is a full-time hourly position, 40 hours per week, with potential overtime as required. The expected work schedule is 10 hours per day, Monday-Thursday. This job operates in a manufacturing lab setting and requires employees to have excellent vision and hand eye coordination while working under a microscope. While performing this job, employees will frequently handle chemicals, be exposed to loud noise and work with moving mechanical parts. All employees must be capable of lifting up to 25 lbs. Qualifications High school diploma, or equivalent 1-2 years applicable industry experience Basic knowledge and understanding of mechanical assemblies. Basic familiarity with engineering drawings and prints.
