Who is Kinetic Wealth?
What does it mean to deliver wealth management advice? For many firms, it starts and ends at portfolio construction. How much stocks and bonds a client should hold is the extent of the recommendations these brokers provide. These “advisors” tend to work at large wire houses with recognizable brand names but are limited in terms of the real value they bring to their clients.
That’s not how Kinetic Wealth operates.
Kinetic Wealth believes wealth management advice should be much more comprehensive than just an asset allocation. Of course, investment management is a cornerstone of the work we do--and we’re proud of our approach to how we build portfolios for our clients - but we recognize that this is just one tenet of the true range of advice that is meaningful to growing one’s wealth.
As an independent Registered Investment Advisor, we are able to act on our vision of delivering more than just investment recommendations, but also in areas like risk management, retirement planning, tax planning, and estate planning. In short, we can truly act as holistic financial planners for the people that entrust us for our insights.
In the world of financial services, plenty of firms pride themselves on being good at one or two things. At Kinetic Wealth, we believe the only way to serve our clients is to be great at all areas of financial planning.
We are a boutique firm and with that comes considerable advantages. From the freedom to diversify the offering of advice we provide to clients, to not being constricted to operate in a rigid corporate structure. There is a flexibility to who we can work with and how we work with them. Where is Kinetic Wealth headed?
Growth…and lots of it. The next three years are projected to be a big on ramp in terms of the size and scope of relationships our firm serves. This means that we need to build up our advisory team of professionals that get excited about new opportunities and are hungry for mentorship, one-on-one coaching, and development.
There are so many clients out there that are underserved in the advice that they are receiving from the large wire houses. We need advisors who want to make a real difference in the lives of others.
The Opportunity:
Becoming a financial advisor is hard. No, its more than that. It’s filled with rejection, self-doubt, and lots of uncertainty. The advisor development programs touted by the big box firms consist of a gray-haired advisor that beats his chest for an hour or two and then tells the new recruits where their phone and desk is. Its smilin’ and dialin’ time.
None of which teaches you how to actually be a financial advisor. At no point in that training are you taught how to deliver a financial plan or win trust from a client. So, once you’ve exhausted your prospect list of family and friends half a dozen times, you’re left with just a pit in your stomach, desperate for guidance on how to advance in this career, let alone even last in it.
The wealth management career can be an amazing one. There are very few jobs that allow you to capitalize on your competitive instincts while also being a source of relief for others. You can be a rainmaker and a counselor. A wealth management profession is one that is fulfilling in so many ways. The challenge is finding a way to build up your foundation.
The opportunity at Kinetic Wealth is to work with an advisory team that is eager to coach and develop the motivated young advisor. This is a chance to learn what it takes to be successful in this business and to work and learn side by side with more experienced advisors. We want to mentor you.
The work will be hard; of course, it will be. Anything worth doing is hard. There is a lot to learn. Tax planning strategies. Insurance solutions. Portfolio composition. Retirement plan types. There are also the interpersonal skills of working with clients and winning over prospects. How to sell and win business. The psychology of comforting clients in choppy markets and keeping clients levelheaded when stocks are soaring.
To put it simply: there is so much you need to know to be good and so much more you need to do to be great.
That’s okay. That’s why we want to hire another advisor. We want to help the novice advisor learn to be great in this industry. We believe that we can teach the skillset and knowledge that it requires to be a great advisor. We're willing to make that bet because we know good talent is what can help take this business to the next level.
How will the advisor contribute to Kinetic Wealth’s mission?
Delivering excellent client service:
- The hallmark of a well-run wealth management firm is consistency in delivering excellent service to clients.
- New advisor will be an integral part of how we prepare for meetings with clients and the post-meeting actions required.
- This person will also work with Client Service Manager to ensure that actions related to client requests are followed through on in a timely manner.
Financial Planning:
- Wealth Advisor will be trained on the industry leading financial planning tools and software.
- Offering strategic advice on products and services, such as investments, insurance coverage, and tax planning strategies to meet the individual client’s financial objectives.
- Research funds, products, and strategies that are pertinent to specific client situations.
Sales and Prospecting:
- New client acquisition is the lifeblood of any wealth management firm.
- Wealth Advisor will be trained how prospect for new relationships and given tools and resources to help grow the firm.
What we’re looking for:
- 3+ years of financial services industry experience.
- Securities License (Series 6 or 7), Series 65 and/or SIE.
- Life, Accident and Health insurance desired.
- Strong understanding of wealth management/financial planning.
- BS degree in Finance or related field.
- Excellent people, communication and interpersonal skills. Sales experience a plus.
- Established book of business preferred, not required.
- Certified Financial Planner or other industry certifications preferred, but not required.
- Accuracy, attention to detail and the ability to explain complex information clearly and simply.
- Microsoft Office and industry standard software. Such software would include financial planning tools.
- Ability to maintain compliance with all rules and regulations in the financial industry.
- This is a full-time in office position. Remote work is not available as training and in-person meetings are vitally important to development of the Wealth Advisor.
