Afterschool Youth Soccer Coach - Fall 2026

Overview Afterschool Youth Soccer Coach - Entertain young children while playing soccer and being active! The position is ideal for an energetic and fun-loving individual who will lead children ages K-5 in fun and educational soccer activities. Coaches create a positive and joyful soccer experience, foster a love of sports, promote teamwork, sportsmanship, and personal growth in a supportive environment. New coaches can work 3-10 classes a week (pending availability) and can earn from $20 per hr up to $40 per hr. The majority of classes are held after school hours. Coaches should be available to work during the following times: Monday: 3:00pm-6:30pm Tuesday: 3:00pm-6:30pm Wednesday: 3:00pm-6:30pm Thursday: 3:00pm-6:30pm Friday: 3:00pm-6:30pm Saturday: As needed Responsibilities Player development: Implement engaging and age‑appropriate training sessions that focus on skill development, teamwork, sportsmanship, and foster a love for the game in a positive and inclusive atmosphere where every player feels valued. Game management: Lead and coordinate team participation in league matches, ensuring a fair and positive experience for all players and emphasizing the importance of effort, improvement, and enjoyment over strict competition. Communication: Maintain open and clear communication with players, parents, and league organizers; provide regular updates on player progress and team activities. Character building: Instill values such as respect, responsibility, and perseverance through soccer‑related activities, acting as a positive role model for players. Skill assessments: Conduct periodic assessments to understand each player’s strengths and areas for improvement, and tailor coaching strategies to meet individual needs. Qualifications Passion for working with young children. Highly energetic, reliable, patient, enthusiastic, and self‑motivated. Ability to work with little supervision. Certified or willing to obtain CPR and First Aid qualifications. Ability to pass background check ( Reliable transportation; willing to drive to schools in Wesley Chapel/Land O Lakes area. Coaching licenses (optional but desirable): US Soccer 4v4 and/or 7v7; willingness to obtain them. Previous coaching experience with youth soccer programs. Excellent communication skills with children and parents. Team player; ability to collaborate with coaches, staff, and partners. Commitment to fostering a positive and inclusive environment that prioritizes players’ well‑being and joy. Benefits Hourly pay: $20–$40 per hour.
