Chief Technology Officer

This person will own the full stack of the Factron platform — UI, API, and the agent-facing surfaces that turn root cause analysis into something an operator or plant manager can act on. Every feature ties back to evidence-based root cause analysis on the factory floor, running in pilots with Fortune 500 manufacturers.

What you'll do

• Build and maintain UI and API updates across the Factron platform, from the RCA engine through to the front end.
• Build out Settings and Dev Admin pages, giving the team and pilot customers reliable ways to configure and operate the platform.
• Build Exec View and OEE reporting functionality — the surfaces plant leadership and executives use to see performance at a glance.
• Develop agents that dynamically visualize what is happening on the factory floor in real time.
• Build the front end for AI analysis across root cause analysis, performance, and quality.
• Hold code quality and engineering standards to a high bar in an era of agentic coding assistants — review AI-generated code as carefully as human-written code.
• Develop comprehensive unit tests, integration tests, end-to-end tests, and smoke tests so the platform ships with confidence.

What we're looking for

• Strong experience with React or Angular, JavaScript, and CSS.
• Strong Python experience, with hands-on API development.
• Experience working with cloud-based databases.
• Comfortable moving fast and owning a feature end to end, from API to UI, as a founding engineer would.

Nice to have

• Cloud-based networking and security experience.
• Experience integrating with OPC-UA (Allen-Bradley, Siemens), MTConnect, or Fanuc FOCAS.
• Prior experience at a pre-seed to Series A startup.

Contract, compensation & growth path

• This is a contractor role, reporting directly to the CTO.
