RN - Oncology

Pediatric Hematology/Oncology RN

Location: New Jersey

Assignment Duration: This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule: Night shifts: 3x12-Hour (19:00 - 07:30) with rotating weekends and holidays.

Job Description: We are seeking a dedicated Pediatric Hematology/Oncology RN. The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of experience in Hematology/Oncology, with a willingness to float to various pediatric units including Adolescent and PICU Stepdown as needed.

Responsibilities:

• Administer and monitor chemotherapy treatments.
• Perform phlebotomy for a variety of patient needs, including A-lines, Central lines, and PICCs.
• Provide care management for all types of childhood cancers, as well as sickle cell patients.
• Attend to wound care and symptom management.
• Work collaboratively with the healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:

• Active NJ or Compact RN license.
• APHON, BLS, and PALS certifications are required at the time of submission.
• Experience with EPIC charting system and Pediatric Early Warning Score (PEWS).
• Previous charge experience is preferred.
