Job Title

Registered Nurse – Labor and Delivery

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Days | 4x12-Hour Shifts (7:00 AM – 7:30 PM)

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in labor, preterm labor, triage, and antepartum settings across 8 labor rooms and 4 triage rooms
• Perform and assist with circulating, scrubbing, pre-op, and post-op duties for OB-GYN procedures and GYN surgeries
• Attend all deliveries, including high-risk deliveries, and support couplet care and transition nursery as needed
• Administer blood and blood products, and manage specialized infusions including Heparin, Insulin, and Magnesium Sulfate
• Operate and monitor specialized equipment including epidural pumps, PCA pumps, syringe pumps, wound vac, and cooling/warming blankets
• Float to Post-Partum or NICU based on unit need and individual skill set

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse license; compact license must be active and in hand at time of submission
• Minimum of 2 years of Labor and Delivery experience required; first-time travelers will not be considered
• Required certifications: BLS, Fetal Heart Monitoring (FHM), NRP, and AWHONN Intermediate
• Proficiency with Epic electronic health record system required
• Must commit to working 3 of 5 designated holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, and New Year's Day
• All RTO and scheduling requests must be submitted upfront at time of submittal; post-offer RTO requests may not be granted

Preferred Experience / Skills

• ACLS certification preferred
• Experience with high-risk obstetric patients and GYN surgical procedures
• Familiarity with transition nursery and NICU-level care
