Location: Glendale, California

About the Opportunity
A well-established national, multi-office insurance defense law firm is seeking a California-licensed Associate Attorney to join its Construction Defect Defense practice in Glendale, California.
This is an excellent opportunity for an attorney with 3-10 years of litigation experience who is interested in developing or expanding their career in construction defect and insurance defense litigation.
Construction Defect experience is not required. The firm is open to hiring and training attorneys with general civil litigation backgrounds who are interested in transitioning into this practice area.

Key Responsibilities
- Handle construction defect and related civil litigation matters.
- Draft pleadings, motions, legal memoranda, and correspondence.
- Prepare initial case evaluations, interim reports, pretrial reports, and appellate documents.
- Draft discovery requests and responses.
- Prepare and respond to discovery-related motions.
- Draft motions for summary judgment.
- Attend hearings and other court proceedings.
- Prepare clients and witnesses for depositions.
- Take and defend depositions of fact witnesses and expert witnesses.
- Conduct legal research and assist with litigation strategy.
- Assist with trial preparation and case resolution.
- Manage litigation deadlines and communicate with clients regarding case developments.
Qualifications
- Active California Bar license in good standing required.
- 3+ years of litigation experience.
- Construction Defect or Insurance Defense experience preferred but not required.
- Attorneys with general civil litigation experience are encouraged to apply.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent legal research and writing abilities.
- Experience drafting motions, pleadings, and discovery documents.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines.
- Willingness to learn and grow within a construction defect defense practice.
