Contract (13 Weeks) | Nights | 3×12-hour shifts | Expected 36 hours/week

Key Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients utilizing the nursing process: assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation
• Manage a patient population that includes CHF, alcohol withdrawal, NSTEMI, sepsis, dysrhythmias, pneumonia, COPD, and post-procedure patients (pacemakers, ablations, cath lab, and patients downgraded from ICU)
• Administer and monitor non-titratable cardiac medication drips (e.g., Cardizem, Lasix, Nitro)
• Identify and measure rhythm strips and demonstrate telemetry competency; candidates must pass a telemetry competency exam prior to assignment - failure may result in contract termination
• Float to other units, including medical surgical units and intensive care units, for telemetry or medically appropriate assignments, up to competency level
• Coordinate care across multidisciplinary teams in a collaborative, patient-centered environment

Required Qualifications

• Active Nevada RN license required prior to start
• BLS certification required
• ACLS certification required
• NIHSS certification required
• Minimum 2 years of telemetry experience

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience in a high-volume, fast-paced acute care or Level II (or higher) Trauma Center environment
• Familiarity with post-procedure cardiac patient care including pacemakers, ablations, and cath lab patients
• Experience managing patients with complex cardiac and pulmonary conditions
