The incumbent will also provide basic remodeling functions including demolition of walls, drop ceilings and flooring as well as installation of carpet tile, VCT tile, ceramic tile and assembly of modular office furniture and office/classroom appliances and fixtures. The incumbent will operate, and use required tools and equipment skillfully and safely, perform strenuous physical labor, follow oral and written instructions, and keep daily computerized records. Additionally, the incumbent will prioritize personal workflow, read, comprehend, and work from plans and prints, maintain cooperative working relationships, and demonstrate sensitivity to and respect for a diverse campus population. Staff will serve as role models by practicing exemplary behaviors when working with customers, and fellow staff members and the supervisory team.\\*\\*Full position description is available upon request. \\*\\*## **Key Job Responsibilities:*** Assists trades, crafts, vendors, and technical staff with construction, design, and operational maintenance as needed* Utilizes equipment to repair and maintain standard machinery, equipment, and facility property to prevent further damage and ensure optimal operation* Performs routine facility inspections and monitors cleanliness* Troubleshoots, escalates, and documents issues according to established policies and procedures* Receives, inspects, inventories, and distributes deliveries to appropriate entities under general supervision## **Department:**Facility Services – supports the academic mission of the university. A team approach is utilized throughout the department to provide a safe environment, excellence in service through high standards with positive and collaborative relationships across the UWSP community.Under general supervision of the Facility Services Maintenance Manager, this position will monitor, operate, adjust, maintain, and repair a variety of technical equipment for the campus and to help supply the campus with critical services. The skill, ability and knowledge of the incumbent will have direct and profound impact on the success and satisfaction level in the delivery of services to customers within the area of responsibility. Given the pace of emerging technology, the incumbent must stay in touch with industry/system-wide trends and best practices.
