Registered Nurse – OB/GYN (Nights)

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with physicians to develop and implement individualized patient care plans aimed at returning patients to optimal health
• Provide direct bedside nursing care and carry out physician orders in an OB/GYN setting
• Delegate to and oversee support staff including Nurse Assistants, Patient Care Associates, OB Care Associates, Surgical Service Assistants, Nursing Clerks, and Psychiatric Techs
• Continuously evaluate the effectiveness of care plans and adjust as needed to meet patient needs

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Michigan
• Minimum 2 years of OB experience required
• AWHONN certification required (must be obtained within the last two years)
• Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification required
• Basic Life Support – BLS (AHA) certification required
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support – ACLS (AHA) certification required

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience working with Cerner electronic medical records (EMR) system
• Prior experience in an acute care hospital environment
