Duties/Responsibilities Responsible for conducting daily transactions in addition to the sales and servicing of all bank products and services Provide operational support and exceptional customer service while maintaining essential controls and safeguards Stay current and knowledgeable of all bank’s products and services to effectively communicate to new and existing clients Maintain customer information on those expressing interest in future financial discussions and key customer details including notes about future events that may require financial services/products Proactively contact customers to present pre‑approved offers or to provide a general financial overview, and schedule meetings to conduct structured financial reviews Based on customer’s needs, recommend services/products to assist them in meeting their goals, build loyalty, and grow the customer through a differentiated experience; educate customers on options for managing financial transactions using technology, tools, and resources Communicate clearly and accurately about the benefits, requirements, and any fees associated with financial products/services Identify and refer customers, when appropriate, to other bank associates or departments for certain products/services Assist customers with transactional needs in accordance with established guidelines, brand model, and service standards, answering inquiries about account balances, transaction history, service charges, interest rates, and more Maintain daily operational standards, including cash drawer security, balancing, item capture procedures, counterfeit currency identification, and ensuring adequate supplies at the teller station Protect the bank from unnecessary risk by adhering to procedures and confidentiality guidelines, including currency transaction reports, suspicious activity reports, Regulation CC holds and documentation, robbery procedures, and more Adhere to internal controls, operational procedures, and risk‑management policies, including security protocols for robbery, fraud, opening/closing processes, cash controls, and teller procedures Ensure compliance with all bank policies and procedures, as well as applicable state and federal banking regulations Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned Requirements Strong knowledge of banking operations, cash handling procedures, and regulatory compliance Exceptional customer service skills, with the ability to handle difficult or sensitive situations with empathy and professionalism Strong attention to detail and accuracy Excellent verbal and written communication skills Strong problem‑solving and decision‑making skills Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and make sound judgments Education and Experience High School diploma or equivalent required. Minimum of three (3) years of previous professional level of customer contact and service experience or minimum of two (2) years of prior working experience in a banking environment, preferably in a branch, is required.
