Registered Nurse Surgical PCU PRN

As a Registered Nurse at St. Davids Medical Center, you will deliver high‑quality, patient‑centered care, collaborate with the care team, and act as patient advocate, following nursing models such as "Assess, Perform, Teach, and Manage." Responsibilities Assess patient condition during admission and each scheduled shift, promptly identifying and reporting changes in status. Perform procedures, monitoring, and other functions as ordered by medical provider(s) and document thoroughly in the patient’s medical record. Administer prescribed medications, monitor for therapeutic response, and take appropriate action for unintended responses. Respond promptly to patient requests, anticipate needs, and resolve them. Educate patients, families, and caregivers about medical condition, treatment plan, medications, side effects, and follow‑up measures, translating complex terminology. Qualifications Registered Nurse (RN). Basic Cardiac Life Support certification within 30 days of employment start date. Associate, Bachelor, or Master’s degree in Nursing.
