Key Responsibilities of the RN - Psychiatric - Travel

• Conduct intake assessments through interviews with patients and relatives to gather case history
• Plan and provide nursing care for patients
• Make nursing diagnoses of medical and emotional status and recommend treatment options
• Consult with psychiatrists and behavioral health staff on treatment plans
• Administer and note reactions to psychotropic drugs and other medications
• Arrange further medical attention when necessary
• Assist clients in understanding emotional disturbances and the need for treatment
• Maintain a safe and secure environment for staff and patients
• Test for vital signs of pain and ensure pain treatment
• Document patient information in medical charts and follow physician's orders
• Maintain patient confidentiality
• Keep accurate records and documentation of treatments, immunizations, and lab results
• Perform administrative tasks like filing, answering phones, and completing progress notes
• Provide courteous, high-quality service to patients and the public

Requirements of the RN - Psychiatric - Travel

• NY License ONLY
• BLS Certification (AHA) ONLY
• Telemetry experience
• Minimum 2 years of experience
