Schedule / Job Type

Contract (13 Weeks) | Full-Time | Onsite | 12-Hour Variable PM/Night Shifts | Mid Shift

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a fast-paced, Trauma Level II Emergency Department serving a diverse patient population including cardiac, neurological, pediatric, geriatric, and respiratory cases
• Manage a patient assignment of 3–4 patients per nurse within an 18-bed unit that is stroke certified
• Perform lab draws, administer nebulizer treatments, and utilize Pyxis medication dispensing systems
• Document patient care accurately and efficiently using Epic electronic health records
• Work collaboratively with on-site respiratory therapy, radiology, and laboratory staff
• Adhere to all facility infection control and vaccination policies, including masking requirements during flu season if applicable

Required Qualifications

• Active Wisconsin RN License required
• BLS, ACLS, TNCC, and PALS certifications required (ARC or AHA accepted)
• Minimum 2 years of Emergency Room nursing experience
• Trauma Level II experience required
• Proficiency with Epic electronic health records required
• Must pass an EKG exam during the compliance/onboarding process
• Must live at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior travel nursing experience preferred; candidates without travel experience must have a minimum of 2 years in a Trauma Level I or II setting
• Demonstrated ability to work independently, manage tasks efficiently, and adapt well to change in a high-acuity environment
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to integrate quickly into a team-oriented unit
